As part of AORRA’s move to give competitors more say in how our sport is run we recently received two rule change applications. One was for the Unlimited Class and one for Class 4.
These rule change applications were centred on engine capacity change and also the option of new classes.
As per our constitution these applications were sent out to passbook holders in those classes for voting, agree or disagree. To be passed to the next stage, clubs and AORRA board discussion, we required a pre-determined response rate and on both these occasions this was not reached therefore the applications could not move forward.
We strongly recommend in the future that every competitor involved in a rule change application take the time to have a say to ensure our sport continues to move forward.
